Fun in Madrid

Day 3 was spent touring Madrid. About half the group woke up early for a sunrise walk to the Palacio and Plaza Mayor. After breakfast we had a bus tour of the city stopping at the Plaza de Toros and Bernabéu Stadium (Real Madrid's stadium). From there we had an outstanding tour of the Museo del Prado. We enjoyed lunch nearby and then headed over to the Parque de Retiro. As seen from the photos below, we had a little fun and silly time. From there we walked back downtown and did a tapas crawl. We visited two tapas restaurants and then capped it off with all the churros you could eat! Then we had an hour of free time in the area around the Plaza Mayor. We stayed until after dark so everyone could see the city, plazas, etc. at night and then finally headed home. It was quite the day! We walked out the door at 6:30 am and arrived back at the hotel after 10:00 pm. Good times!!
